Tribulus - testosterone booster

Tribulus terrestris is a small, inconspicuous plant with yellow flowers, essentially a weed that has spread from China and Japan throughout the world. Today, it is even cultivated in gardens for its effects on the human body. It is known in Ayurveda and ancient Greek medicine. Abroad, it is known by the names goat's head, devil's thorn, burra gokharu, and in Ayurveda as gokshura. For centuries, it has been used as a miracle cure for infertility, impotence, and erectile dysfunction. It is simply a testosterone booster!

Officially, it is credited with anti-inflammatory effects, especially in urinary tract, positive effect on the hormonal response of the body, lowering cholesterol in the body and adjusting blood pressure. But its most famous use lies in sexual sexual potency and libido. The best extract is obtained from the leaves of the plant - these are high in protodioscin. This compound has pro-erectile effects in some animal tissues. Statistically significant effects on increasing testosterone levels have still been found in animal studies.

Of course, there are also many studies on humans, because the cure for impotence belongs to the "golden egg" category. The results of a 2017 study confirmed the positive effect on erectile dysfunction when taking the extract for 12 weeks. Another interesting study confirmed the effect of tribulus on reduced libido in women! At the end of the experiment, a group of 40 women had increased sensitivity to arousal, pain, satisfaction... There is also a 2016 study confirming the beneficial effects of Tribulus in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Not a substance in anemone are probably saponins. These heteroglycosidic compounds are found predominantly in plants. They are divided into triterpenic and steroidal. We are interested in the latter. They are also found in garlic and leeks, which are also plants that we refer to as aphrodisiacs. They reduce surface tension, which in solutions leads to the formation of bubbles (hence the name detergents). For biological functions, they are mainly anti-fatigue, cardiopreventive, and can block the cell cycle of cancer cells! Their effects are anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antibacterial, anticancer and immunostimulatory.

Tribulus terrestris can be offered with very different saponin contents. It is very important whether it is the natural form with a content of up to 20% or extracts, which can reach up to 90%. The dosage should be adapted accordingly. The recommended daily dosage of 10-20mg of tribulus per 1kg of weight applies when the tribulus content is up to 60%. If the content is higher, consider the lower figure. Thus, e.g. at 90% saponin content, about 400-600mg is sufficient as a daily dose for an 80kg man;

Tribulus is safe to use in normal amounts, and there are no known negative side effects in healthy users. Always consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Since the active ingredient content in Tribulus can vary greatly, consider which retailer you choose to place your trust in when making a purchase. We recommend nutritional supplement specialists who only offer these products, rather than thousands of other consumer goods.

Are you lacking them? How to tell if your body is deficient in electrolytes

Do you know that feeling? You’ve had a tough workout, spent the whole day in the sun, or are just trying to concentrate on your studies, but your energy levels are at rock bottom. You’re drinking water like there’s no tomorrow, but you still feel sluggish and listless. What’s the problem? The answer is probably much simpler than you think: you’re missing out on Dr LUCULLUS’s electrolytes.

Is iodine a necessity? ... Iodine - Kelp

Iodine is a trace element, with an interesting role in health, which we associate with the thyroid gland. It occurs naturally in the marine environment and one of the richest natural sources of iodine is kelp seaweed, also known as "Bladderwrack, Norwegian Laminaria," which has been used in traditional medicine and cuisine for centuries. Kelp can absorb large amounts of iodine directly from the ocean. The body needs iodine to produce thyroid hormones, without which much more would not work ... our metabolism would not function properly, we would have little energy, and our minds would be dull.

Imagine that your cells are like your favourite trainers – new, clean, comfortable and flexible. But if you wear them every day to the gym, in the woods or in the mud – and, above all, without cleaning them – they’ll quickly lose their sparkle, and you won’t feel comfortable in them, let alone be able to perform at your best. It’s exactly the same with your body. Stress, UV radiation and smog all take their toll on your cells. And when their protective barrier is compromised, it starts with symptoms you’ll notice in dry skin, slower healing of blisters from trainers or cuts, or the fact that after the weekend you don’t look as fresh as a juicy piece of fruit.  But you’re not on your own – there are nutrients that act as ‘cleaners’, one of which is vitamin E (the one that doesn’t show off, but gets the job done). It helps cells resist damage, protects the heart, boosts immunity and slows down the process we call ‘maturation’ (I mean ageing). These days, we can’t switch off the world around us, but we can strengthen what’s inside us. And vitamin E is the boost your body will appreciate.

Discover a zest for life with Tribulus terrestris

Tribulus terrestris This annual plant, which grows as a summer plant in warm climates, including Mediterranean, subtropical and desert regions, is known as a natural supplement for men, often referred to as ‘green Viagra’ (it naturally boosts testosterone levels). One of the lesser-known facts about Tribulus terrestris is its historical use not only in medicine, but also in agriculture and everyday life. Its spiny fruits were used to protect grain from pests and also inspired the design of military traps, such as spikes to deter cavalry. The plant is an important part of traditional medical systems, and its use is recognised in Greek, Ayurvedic and traditional Chinese medicine.

How to treat a cold or the flu?

How to treat a cold or the flu?

We probably all have a good supply of medicines at home in case we catch a cold, or even the flu. It’s the same every single year. The temperature drops, the weather turns damp and chilly, and the viral infections start to spread. But we’re prepared! Celaskon, various cough syrups, paracetamol… A box (or even a large box) of all sorts of medicines will sort it out, won’t it? And if not, then whilst we’re coughing, grumbling and lying in bed, we solemnly promise ourselves that we’ll finally start hardening ourselves to the cold. As soon as the illness has passed...

We should drink good herbal tea as a preventative measure, to boost our immunity. There was a time when this was obvious to everyone, and such teas were commonplace in villages. These days, it’s common to find a chemist’s even in a small village. We’ve all quickly got used to ‘instant-relief’ tablets.

Iron - the secret to your health and energy

Iron - the secret to your health and energy

Imagine that your body is a factory working at full capacity (to provide energy, growth, cell repair) and iron is the fuel that keeps it running. If iron reserves are depleted, you may experience weakness, heart palpitations or paler skin. Symptoms of iron deficiency include brittle nails, dry hair, shortness of breath, sleep problems, reduced concentration, cold extremities, increased frequency of infections, and anaemia (a lack of red blood cells caused by too little iron in the body), which manifests itself as extreme fatigue. With anaemia, the body is not supplied with enough oxygen and quickly becomes exhausted. Bruising can also be a sign of iron deficiency, as this mineral is important in the formation of haemoglobin, which supports the proper functioning of blood platelets.
