Vitamin C + rose hips + bioflavonoids

Designed specifically for stronger antioxidant effects, better absorption and utilisation, with rosehip as the main source of natural vitamin C. Vitamin C, known as ascorbic acid, is a nutrient essential for the functioning of our body. Our body synthesises this essential vitamin, so it is necessary to obtain it from fruits and vegetables such as citrus fruits, peppers, horseradish, and tomatoes.

Vitamin C is thermolabile, which means that it degrades when stored or processed (cooked) incorrectly. Excess vitamin C is excreted in urine and is not stored by the body. Therefore, it is advisable to supplement it daily. Smokers, people with colds and people under stress are particularly prone to ascorbic acid deficiency. Citrus bioflavonoids are compounds that accompany C in nature, these powerful antioxidants promote the absorption and utilisation of vitamin C. They support its role, which plays an important role in maintaining healthy skin, gums and immunity. Individual bioflavonoids include rutin, quercetin, citrin and hesperidin. Rose hips(Rosa canina) contain exceptionally high amounts of vitamin C, even more than citrus fruits, and are used as protection against scurvy. Rose hips were once considered gardening waste with no significant use, but later research has shown that they contain natural antioxidants and active substances with beneficial effects on health.

Rose hips, as a natural source of vitamin C, are known for their anti-inflammatory effects. Wild rose species, including rose hips, are used to treat various health problems, with their therapeutic effect based on antioxidant properties (a result of their phytochemical composition). Interest in the medicinal use of rose hips has grown due to their potential in treating skin diseases, hepatotoxicity, kidney problems, diarrhoea, inflammatory conditions, arthritis, diabetes, obesity and even cancer. The reddish-coloured rosehip fruits are most commonly used in dried form due to the limited shelf life of fresh fruits, low storage stability and sour taste. They are valued for their many bioactive substances, including vitamin C (mostly in the peel), carotenoids, tocopherols, phenolic acids, flavonoids, proanthocyanidins and tannins, as well as minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, pectin and essential oils. Rosehips get their colour from pigments known as lycopene and beta-carotene, which promote healthy skin and eyes. Rosehip seeds are high in polyunsaturated fats, which protect the skin from inflammatory compounds such as ultraviolet rays, cigarette smoke and pollution. The effect of tiliroside increases fat metabolism and subsequently reduces abdominal fat, helps reduce signs of ageing and lowers blood pressure, cholesterol and pain in osteoarthritis. Due to their wide range of positive effects, including antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, analgesic, anti-diabetic, immunosuppressive, cardioprotective and gastroprotective properties, rose hips are often used to promote health and treat various diseases, including colds.

The uniqueness of vitamin C lies in its antioxidant power. Vitamin C neutralises free radicals, protecting cells and helping to slow down ageing. It strengthens immunity, supports white blood cell activity and antibody production, which is key to defending against infections. It supports the production of collagen, which is essential for healthy skin, blood vessels and muscles, helping to keep the skin supple and firm. It is also necessary for proper brain function and improves the absorption of plant iron, thereby helping to prevent anaemia.

... We cannot always determine exactly how much vitamin C we consume in our diet, and our daily requirement is higher than for any other water-soluble vitamin. Especially during illness and stress, the need for vitamin C increases several times over. With Dr. Lucullus and the dietary supplement Vitamin C + Rose Hips + Bioflavonoids 800 mg, you can safely rely on its effective supplementation. As one of our most popular forms of vitamin C, rosehip is a great example of using natural sources rich in bioactive compounds with guaranteed health benefits.

Vitamin P – the vitality booster

Vitamin P – the vitality booster

You know how it is – the alarm goes off, you open your eyes, but you stay in bed. Even after seven hours’ sleep, you don’t feel energised. In the mirror, you see dark circles under your eyes; your skin is dry and tired, and you’re developing bruises and tiny broken capillaries. Is your immune system not working as it should, and does every virus seem to find you? If you’re thinking, ‘It’s just stress; it’s normal to feel like this’, well… no, you don’t have to feel like this… You’re missing something, and it might not be magnesium or another coffee. It’s a vitamin that isn’t listed on yoghurt pots, nor has it taken social media by storm just yet. And yet your body craves it every day: it’s vitamin P, better known as bioflavonoids – natural plant compounds that:

Vitamin B3 as an example of how food is medicine

Vitamin B3 as an example of how food is medicine

Niacin was long regarded as a common component of the diet, until it was discovered that a deficiency of it causes skin, digestive and mental health problems known as pellagra. Dr Goldberger proved that the cause of this disease was not an infection, but a diet lacking in vitamin B3. He carried out an experiment on himself and his colleagues, who consumed only a poor diet and began to show symptoms of pellagra. However, when they added foods rich in niacin to their diet, the symptoms disappeared. In 1937, niacin was isolated from the liver, confirming its importance and nutritional value.

This trio helps to safely replenish and improve the health of the skin on the face, bones, joints and veins, making them firm and strong. Vitamin C is necessary for biosynthesis (and conversion) and effective utilisation. Let's break it down into small pieces, because here too, everything is literally connected...
